Long Bio

JOY—this is the resounding message of Chris Bray’s brand new release. “Joy in my Heart”, the full length album from the multiple Gospel Music Association Covenant award winning artist, brings a fresh, yet familiar perspective, offering hope and inspiration to the world. With a variety of songs, from a soft, beautiful duet, to a pop rock masterpiece, Bray’s writing hits home with relevant themes, recounting real life stories and circumstances, craftily leading people on a journey of excitement, inspiration, joy and even to tears.

The new album, which was released in March 2017, has impacted Christian radio across Canada, with the first single (and music video), “King in His Kingdom”, hitting #27 on the Canadian Christian radio chart, and #4 on the More Radio CANCON chart, maintaining the top five status for three consecutive months. It also topped the iTunes Inspirational chart reaching the top 25, during release week.

Bray has released four other albums, which has garnered him numerous top 10 and number 1 hit songs on Christian radio across Canada, as well as being awarded, “New Artist of the Year” (2009), “Inspirational Song of the Year” (2011), “Modern Worship Album of the Year” (2011), among many other nominations.

“With this new record, I felt like God had placed real life stories and circumstances on my heart that others could relate to and be inspired by”, says Bray. “I’ve seen God at work in my own life, and wanted to demonstrate, through song, His glory and magnificence by communicating how I’ve been changed and transformed by Him”.

Bray’s refined songwriting extends from a catalogue of mostly praise and worship. While this project contains some of that as well, his skills as a songwriter and communicator illuminate the gifts God has bestowed on him.

Demand for his concerts and speaking presentations are vivid, as Bray’s hectic travel schedule leads him across Canada and the United States, speaking to tens of thousands each year. His largest audience included the March for Life on Parliament Hill, where he headlined for over 25,000 in attendance, as well as an Air Canada Centre Gospel concert following a Raptors game in Toronto, performances alongside great figures such as Peter Furler, Matt Maher, Audrey Assad, Jonny Diaz, Leah Darrow, Matt Fradd, Steve Ray, Chris Padgett, Jackie Francois, Fr. Dave Pivonka, being featured on EWTN, Shalom World TV, Salt & Light TV, 100 Huntley St. and hundreds of schools, churches and conferences each year.
