Should Christians Obey Restrictions?

A second wave of lockdowns has begun, yet it seems Christians are some of the most vocal, outspoken and rebellious group of people voicing opposition against them. BUT — do we really feel that we as Christians are entitled to complain about the inconveniences of limited seating for Masses and services? Are we not, as Christians, perhaps called to a higher standard to embrace these restrictions if it means willing the good and safety of another? I reflect on the reactions from Christians on the imposed COVID-19 lockdowns so that we can change our vice into virtue, our complaining into gratitude, and gain the perspective we need to live faithfully.
